An Armenian khachkar has been installed in the city of Kirishi

On October 29, 2022, a khachkar dedicated to the centuries-old friendship of the peoples of Russia and Armenia was consecrated in Kirishi, Leningrad region.

The rite of consecration of the khachkar was performed by the rector of the Armenian Church of St. Catherine of St. Petersburg, Priest Efrem Zargaryan and Priest Gevond Temkin with the participation of the rector of the Holy
Trinity Church, Archpriest Nikolai Muravlev.

The monument was erected on the initiative and at the expense of Viktor Darbinyan and Mamikon Gabrielyan. The ceremony was attended by the Head of the municipality “Kirishi Municipal District of Leningrad region” Oleg Dmitriev, representatives of the administration of the Leningrad region and the city of Kirishi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Charity Fund “Our Cause” Aram Danielyan, representative of the Armenian National-Cultural Autonomy of St. Petersburg and LO Vahan Babakhanyan, members of the Armenian community of Kirishi and St. Petersburg.
