Representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Petersburg and the Charitable Foundation ‘Our Duty’ honored the memory of the victims of the siege of Leningrad

On September 8, the representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Petersburg, led by the rector of the Church of St. Catherine, Priest Ephraim Zargaryan and the ‘Our Duty’ Charitable Foundation, laid wreaths and flowers at the Piskarevsky Memorial. The blockade of the city on the Neva is considered one of the bloodiest in the history of mankind. It lasted 872 days.

For a significant contribution to the creation of the Theological Seminary of the Armenian Apostolic Church in St. Petersburg, the Charitable Foundation ‘Our Duty’ received gratitude, and the Member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Karen Sardaryan personally received a letter of thanks from the Vicar of the Head of the Russian and New – Nakhichevan diocese in the North-Western region of Hieromonk Poghos.

Consecration of the Cross at the Church of the Russian Orthodox Church and a khachkar in honor of the centuries-old Russian-Armenian friendship in Volkhov

On June 7, 2022, a very important event for many factors took place in Volkhov – the opening of two Crosses – at the Orthodox Church of the Archangel Michael and a khachkar (cross-stone) as a sign of the centuries-old friendship of the Russian and Armenian people.
