Christmas concert in the cultural center ‘Vernatun’

On January 6, in the cultural center “Vernatun” of the Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Petersburg, a Christmas concert was held by the choir of the St. Petersburg, the leaders and pupils of creative teams of the Spiritual and Educational Center named after Lazarev of St. Petersburg.

The concert began with the blessing of the vicar of the head of the Russian and Novo-Nakhichevan diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church for St. Petersburg and the North-Western region, hieromonk Poghos Vardanyan, and the prayer ‘Our Father’.

The choir of the Armenian Apostolic Church of St. Petersburg, Eduard Safaryan, Hripsime Mshetsyan, Ani Ohanyan, Ani Arakyan, Mariam Zargaryan, Vardan Harutyunyan, Ashot Karapetyan and Erik Chilingaryan performed Christmas sharakans, folk songs and works by Armenian composers.

At the end of the concert, Father Poghos and Maxim Atayants presented letters of thanks to members of Charity Fund for their patriotic activities in Russia, Armenia and Artsakh and to Armenian doctors living in St. Artsakh.
